This exam has had noteworthy influence in reducing the stress of residents and making them familiar with the main exam.

The residents committee has prepared and delivered educational CDs for the residents in order to help them get access to more resources. More than 80 educational videos of different surgeries , new guidelines and … has been sent to all of urology residents by now.

Facilitating the process of buying Campbell’s Urology (as the main reference book) and taking loan from students welfare community:

In 2006 , as a result of IUA chairman’s negotiations with the head of students welfare community of Health Ministry and with Dr.Hamidreza Abdi (residents committee chairman) persisting on this issue , all urology residents could take loans for buying Campbell’s Urology book and could get the book by spending a little sum of money.

Launching residents committee website:

As we know it is essential nowadays to develop communications with fellow people and groups in order to improve scientifically.

Hence , the website of residents committee(www.iuanetrc.org) was launched in 2006 in order to present the information and news related to the committee more effectively and facilitate the communication with EAU and other relative foundations.

Cooperation in conducting the national day of Men’s Health events

Since 2006 the national day of Men’s Health is held by IUA including counseling and visiting programs in a wide scale.

The residents committee has been cooperating in performing the programs.

Precise research about the residents’ and newly graduates’ functional situation and their welfare

Through an investigative project , the information of occupational situation , equipment and welfare state of newly graduates of last 10 years were gathered and analyzed. Comparing the data with the standards of developed countries , a precise evaluation was done that can be inspired for some changes in policies.

Including young urologists in the central board of residents committee

Regarding that the guild issues and welfare state of residents and newly graduates are related , two young urologists were included in residents committee in 2007 in order to help the committee with their experiences after graduation

Translation and edition of selected parts of Campbell’s Urology’s new edition by the urology residents

In 2007 , some sections of Campbell’s Urology were translated and summarized in a definite frame by the urology residents and delivered to all of residents.

Worthwhile attempts to make the capacity of resident admittance rational in different centers

With the 50% increase in urology resident admittance , the committee detected unpleasant outcomes of that in the future years; therefore , by correspondence with urological strategic committee , board of urology and medical education secretary , this issue was discussed and fortunately was confronted by positive reactions.
